PML-N’s Chief Organizer, Maryam Nawaz, has respectfully declined an invitation from Government College University (GCU), as confirmed by the party’s spokesperson, Marriyum Aurangzeb, on Thursday. The invitation from GCU was received by the PML-N’s chief organizer’s office on October 5.
Marriyum Aurangzeb emphasized that PML-N believes educational institutions should primarily focus on providing high-quality education and promoting values of good moral and social behavior. According to the former information minister, Maryam Nawaz intends to visit educational institutions at a later time to further the cause of higher education, specifically empowering youth to reach their full potential.
She added that these institutions should not be exploited for personal or political aspirations. She expressed regret that in the recent past, GCU had been used to further personal ambitions and political agendas. “The PML-N does not endorse this misguided approach.”
