In a meeting on Wednesday, former Punjab Governor and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader, Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, discussed the ongoing Israeli actions against Palestinians and the current political situation in Pakistan with PML-Q party chief, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain.
During the meeting, Sarwar highlighted the importance of transparent elections for economic recovery and announced the PML-Q’s plan to field candidates in every constituency during the upcoming general elections. He stressed the need for politicians to prioritize the country’s interests over personal gain, a sentiment that Shujaat echoed.
In light of the Palestine conflict, Shujaat expressed his solidarity with the oppressed Palestinians, emphasizing that the Muslim world stands united with them. Sarwar added that it’s essential for Islamic countries to go beyond words and take concrete actions to stop Israeli aggression against the Palestinians.
The meeting also saw Shujaat offering his condolences for the loss of Chaudhry Sarwar’s brother. Present at the meeting were PML-Q leaders Chaudhry Salik Hussain and Ch Shafi Hussain, contributing to the discussions on both the national political landscape and the international issue of Palestine.
